We’re proud to share a recent highlight from DRB Facility Services’ journey in community advocacy and business empowerment! Our CEO, Anthony Samuels, was invited to speak at the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts’ (BECMA) 6th annual Mass Black Expo, a key event for supporting and showcasing Black-owned businesses, organizations, and allies across Massachusetts. This year’s Expo, themed Building Black Wealth, Empowering Black Voices, gathered a dynamic community of entrepreneurs, professionals, and business leaders who are all working towards a more equitable and prosperous economy for everyone in the Commonwealth.
Anthony participated in a panel session titled Supplier Diversity and Promoting Inclusive Procurement. He joined two other respected voices—Shana Bryant of Course Trifecta, Manifested Events, and Vicki Gray of New Chapter HI Services—in a powerful conversation led by BECMA’s Chief of Membership Programs and Services, Mackenson Charles. Together, they discussed practical ways to help small and diverse businesses break into larger public and private contracts, ensuring that supplier diversity becomes a more integral part of procurement processes.
Drawing on his 30 years of experience, Anthony shared DRB’s journey of successfully securing significant contracts, reflecting on the challenges and opportunities that come with growth and inclusion in business. As he emphasized, “With resources, support, and tenacity diverse businesses can gain the footing needed to compete for—and win—available bids.” Through his insights, Anthony showcased not only DRB’s dedication to quality service but also our commitment to expanding access and opportunity for others.
The Mass Black Expo was an energetic event filled with inspired conversations, productive connections, and valuable resources for all who attended. We’re proud to see Anthony advocate for supplier diversity and inclusive procurement, a mission that aligns with DRB’s core values of community support and business empowerment. Captured moments from the event below highlight the energy and impact of this gathering, where our CEO stood alongside others leading the charge to build and sustain Black wealth in Massachusetts.
At DRB Facility Services, we believe in the power of giving back and lifting others up. Anthony’s involvement in this year’s Mass Black Expo is a testament to our vision of a business landscape where opportunity is accessible to all. We look forward to continuing this journey, working alongside BECMA and other advocates to create an inclusive economy that thrives on diversity and resilience.
